President Biden Wants the Obese to Eat Even More Food
Does the President have eye sight loss as a result of aging?
This is in reference to the recent NYT article by Jim Tankerskly, found here.
The article: “Biden Takes Aim at Grocery Chains Over Food Prices” is about the President's comments on food prices while campaigning in South Carolina where about 70% of the population is obese. While the miracle weight loss medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro are solving the obesity riddle, we still can’t drop the useless mantra of “calories in, calories out.” This beloved equation is ridiculously oversimplified. We now know that unbalanced hormones make people ravenously hungry. Ozempic users report that previous to taking the medication they were eating a meal and thinking about the next one!! We know the government supports the consumer mantra: “SHOP BUY EAT REPEAT." But change is inevitable. Walmart CEO Doug McMillon says that the customers who buy these weight loss medications at his stores have decreased food purchases by 25%. Soon the 65% of the U.S. population who are obese will start to ingest these meds which will be in pill form. Hunger will be neutralized. What will the food companies do? Obviously food companies have two strategies: one is to “Raise Prices, Reduce Portions.” Or they can lower prices to also nothing and continue to stretch the American stomach. The influential book “The End Of Food" by Paul Roberts in 2008 quoted CEOs in the food biz saying that they thought they had reached the limits of the American Stomach, but were happy that this wasn’t yet the case. But it soon will be because of Ozempic.
We know that obesity leads to diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure and ten other illnesses. But even acid reflux occurs because the stomach is stuffed with food to the brim and pressure builds up inside, making the esophageal sphincter more likely to stretch out and let acid spill into the esophagus. President Biden is very trim. Does he need strong glasses to see that the American pubic has supersized? The majority of us could give up eating for months and live on tour onboard calories.
One of the main reasons why acid reflux occurs, in the first place, is because the stomach is stuffed with food to the brim and pressure builds up inside, making the esophageal sphincter more likely to stretch out and let acid spill into the esophagus. Hence, managing portion size can go a long way and reduce the likelihood of heartburn and acid reflux.

See below — a typical American serving. How many bites do you estimate?
Does he think cigarettes cost too much? In NYC a pack is about $20.00. It used to be $6.00. Is this price gouging??
